Population

Andover has been one of the fastest growing cities in the State of Kansas for the last 10 years. The population of the City has grown from 11,791 in 2010 to 15,425 in 2022. 


Schools

The Andover School District (USD 385) is one of the best districts in the state. All buildings have numerous Standards of Excellence awards and all schools meet or exceed state minimum standards for student performance.


YMCA

Andover community members and visitors enjoy a 115,000 square-foot full-service YMCA facility. This includes an outdoor aquatic park and child care facility. The Andover YMCA was severely impacted by the April 29th, 2022 tornado. The Y has been rebuilding and plans to re-open its aquatic center in Summer 2023 and its full facility in 2024. 


Hospital

Andover is home to Kansas Medical Center, a full-service, state-of-the-art, private general hospital with a full range of services including an emergency room.

The city limits of Andover and Wichita are contiguous, making it easy for Andover residents to enjoy a small-city lifestyle with the amenities of a large city right next door.
