Community Events

The City of Andover hosts many annual events all in Central Park: the new Summer Concert Series, Police and Fire Community Cook Out, Greater Andover Days (September/October), and Hometown Christmas (December).

The Police and Fire Community Cook out l is family friendly, fun-filled event featuring demonstrations by both departments and so much more!  It also gives the community a chance to meet and get to know our local first responders.

Starting in 2013, the Andover Convention and Visitors Bureau has been bringing an annual concert to Andover Central Park as a community and tourist event. As a result of the success, it was decided the community would benefit from a permanent venue and construction of the new Capitol Federal Amphitheater® took place during much of 2017.  The first Summer Concert Series took place in 2018. Four concerts were held with various genres of music being represented. For more information, visit here.

Greater Andover Days (GAD) is packed with activities for everyone in the family!   Check out the Facebook event to catch a glimpse at the fun from past events and stay up-to-date on this year's plans!
Hometown Christmas has been bringing the community together since 1980, starting off as a spaghetti eating gathering in a local shopping center. Today's event includes festivities throughout Central Park, including inside City Hall, and the Public Library.
