Redbud Trail
Are you a fitness junkie who loves to get in a good work out?  Do you have kids in tow who need to get out and play to get rid of some excess energy?  Are you one who likes to take a stroll through the park or fish and watch the sunset?  We have just the place for you!

Redbud Trail
-  Formerly the BNSF railroad line, this
1.75 mile long path stretches from 159th St. to the 13th St. Sports Park and is suitable for running, walking, biking, and more!
Local Parks are located throughout out city.  
Central Park, you can enjoy fishing, a picnic under the gazebo, a walk around the pond, all while the kiddos are at the playground. You can also take your four legged fur baby, Fido out for some exercise at the dog park!
13th Street Sports Park has a picnic shelter, charcoal pit, restrooms, and a large area for all types of group games/sports, including courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and baseball diamonds.
In addition to the 13th Street Sports Park and the Andover Central Park, Andover has three
mini parks and one neighborhood park
The Andover YMCA
is a great place to get a workout in while you are away from home.  If you are visiting during the summer months, the kids will definitely love their spectacular outdoor waterpark!
Golf-Course-058Is a nice relaxing round of golf more your style?  Andover is the mecca for golfing!!

Andover Municipal Golf Course is a public, 9 hole, par 33 course.
Terradyne is a local country club that allows you to pay a daily membership rate if you'd like to take advantage of their 18 hole championship course.
Flint Hills National Golf Club is a private golf club which is exclusive to members only.

If you are willing to travel just a short distance and would like a unique experience, Stearman Field Bar and Grill in Benton, KS is right off of a landing strip where you can watch planes take off and land right outside the window as you are eating!
Also in Benton, you can experience the an American Western show for all ages at the
Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper.

Severe Weather a concern?  We have several FEMA storm shelters located within the City available for you to take shelter in should the need arise.

The newly built restroom in Central Park, located at 1607 E Central Ave. is open and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (366 if a Leap year)

The shelter at City Hall, located at 1609 E Central Ave. is open to the public during business hours:
Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm

The shelter at the Andover Public Library, located at 1511 E Central Ave. is also open to the public during business hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9am-8pm
Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturday: 9am - 3pm
