Do you have an interest in law enforcement? If so, you should join the Citizen Police Academy! The Andover Police Department offers a Citizen Police Academy to strengthen the relationship and communication between members of the community and our local law enforcement.

This nine-week program is designed to provide a working knowledge and background of the Andover Police Department. The class meets on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for nine weeks and will be held at the Andover Police Department, 909 N. Andover Road.
 

What You'll Learn
The instruction will consist of demonstrations and tours, including the opportunity to ride along with a patrol officer. You'll learn about crime scene processing, criminal law, police procedure, and shooting range qualifications. Upon successful completion of the academy, the police department will honor the graduates with a ceremony.

Cost/Qualifications
This program is FREE! You must be a resident of Andover, work in Andover, or own a business in Andover. Additionally, you must be 18 years of age or older and have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions.

Deadline to Apply
Applications should be returned to Captain Buck Buchanan at the Andover Police Department, 909 N Andover Rd, no later than 5pm on Monday, June 21, 2021.
